Record the lecture. Walk out with notes.
Chalkdust transcribes lectures on your iPhone and turns them into structured notes, flashcards and a practice quiz — with the deadlines and exam dates your professor mentioned pulled out for you.
What it does
Live transcript. Words appear as your professor speaks, transcribed entirely on your iPhone. Tap any line later to hear that moment again.
Notes that read like notes. Organized by topic, key terms in bold, definitions kept in your professor's own words, and anything they said would be on the exam called out.
Flashcards and quizzes. Made from every lecture, with spaced repetition so you review each card right before you'd forget it.
Mark what matters. Tap once when you hear "this will be on the midterm".
Private by design
Your recordings never leave your iPhone — not to us, not to anyone. To write notes, Chalkdust sends the transcript's text to be processed and keeps nothing afterwards. There is no account to create.
Price
Recording and transcripts are free, always. Notes for 3 lectures a month are free too. Chalkdust Pro covers every lecture for $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year, with a one-week free trial on the yearly plan.
Before you record
Many schools and some states require the instructor's permission to record a class. Please check your school's policy.
